Teams Direct Routing

Direct routing for Microsoft Teams enables full voice capability into Teams, as an alternative to Microsoft Calling Plans and without the need for on-premise hardware.
RJ Cortels Direct Routing utilises Microsoft certified Session Boarder Controllers, also known as SBCs, to deliver better value, greater flexibility, increased functionality and support for migration, all as a cloud based service.

This solution provides connectivity to your Microsoft tenant enabling full inbound and outbound calling capabilities including additional call control features. Connection from Microsoft Teams to our network is via an IP connection and is delivered as an end-to-end service with high availability. All provided by our leading SIP providers in the UK.

How does it work?

All you need to get started are the below:

  • Microsoft 365 or Office 365 licence that includes Teams

  • Microsoft Teams Phone Standard add-on

  • Direct Routing from RJ Cortel

  • An internet connection

An RJ Cortel engineer can then set you up on Direct Routing, port your numbers over to Teams, configure your Microsoft Tenant and provide full end user training to show you the ropes!
